The power of collaborative learning
Our learning approach is alive to the power of collaborative learning.
Collaborative learning is the educational approach of using groups to enhance learning through working together. Groups of two or more learners work together to solve problems, complete tasks, or learn new concepts.
The reasons why we embrace and encourage this learning approach: –
- See when you're in a group learning atmosphere, you retain information and better implement because you've had an opportunity to reframe ideas, listen to others viewpoints (whether through wins or struggles) and you likely have to defend or restate a position which helps cement it in your brain further.
- This is what makes learning new concepts a more active process, as opposed to just sitting back waiting for someone to say do this or do that; you're running every element through that alignment filter to make sure that you're able to find your own unique voice. This is what makes you a more critical thinker and stops you from being someone who constantly needs 1:1 coaching as crutch. This set up allows our clients not to be at a standstill until the coach comes along to save the day.
- In a group setting, you're able to quickly learn from the ideas that others bring up - ideas that perhaps you'd never think to ask a 1:1 coach and they wouldn't think to tell you.
- This is a safe space where the group encourage, support and challenge each other well beyond the LIVE Q&A calls. The transformational experience with other purposeful people is tangible.
- This space helps you know you're not alone. You get to lock arms with folks who have the capacity to understand your confusion around what to do next and actually offer viable solutions - not just empty "you'll figure it outs."
- Knowing we're in this thing together with minds that have different levels of expertise and brilliance.
